RON FAERBER
Treasurer
Ron Faerber serves as a full-time caregiver to both his disabled wife and daughter, manages a property management company, serves as the Chair of the Sandy Hills Community Council (SLCo), and serves as the Chair of the League of Unincorporated Community Councils (SLCo). He is currently serving as the treasurer for DRAC. Ron graduated college with a degree in Chemistry in 1995 and was planning on pursuing a career in research and development when it became clear that his life would not turn out the way he had planned. He became involved in advocating for people with disabilities in 1993 when he was a full-time student, working part-time, and caring for a family of five. Poor disability policies were making life incredibly difficult for his family, and the owner of his home was not complying with fair housing laws. It was then that he realized that no one was going to help them and that they would need to take matters into their own hands to make things right. Ever since then, Ron has served on numerous boards, filed and won many lawsuits on behalf of the public, and advocated for the rights of people with disabilities.
